The next time you take a trip to Burnaby, it might be within your best interest to just do a little research on transportation. There is nothing worse than getting to a city where you assume that there is a lot of transportation and then only to realize that without a car you are virtually helpless to get from point A to point B. Then of course there is the reverse where you spend all kinds of money on a rental car and you fight the long lines and the long wait to get one and then you get into town and realize that you didn’t need it at all. You could have gone the whole trip without a car but now you feel like you have to use it. It’s an unfortunate situation that could have been avoided by just taking the time to do a little bit of research.
When you come to the city of Burnaby you can rest assured that while a car could be helpful and somewhat convenient for you it is certainly not necessary. First you have something that is called the SkyTrain. This is the major public transportation in the city of Burnaby and crosses the city from east point to the west point. There is the Expo Line and there is the Millennium Line. These lines will help you get anywhere you want within the city and then once you have done that there are bus systems that can get you in and out of the city.
One of the things that Burnaby has really tried to do is make their city more accessible to those traveling to and from Vancouver. This is because it is the major city near them and while they have their own booming city the fact is there is not enough jobs to justify everyone who lives there so if you are staying but thinking of spending a day in Vancouver there is more than enough public transportation to get you there and it’s one of the reasons why people love Burnaby.
