The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts was formally opened in 1995. It is spread across an area of thirty five thousand square feet. It is a multi-purpose multi-complex building located in Deer Park Lake, Burnaby.
Being a place of culture and arts, performing artists perform here regularly. Dance performance, theatrical performances, and musical concerts are held frequently here. People from all over the country and the world congregate here to hear see, and feel these expressions of artistic interest.
This place has many areas that are dedicated for artistic exhibits. There are spaces for learning as well. Featuring numerous events all round they year, the Shadbolt Centre is full of events.

Since its inception, it has gathered recognition. Awarded the Canadian Wood Council Award of Merit, it stands out with its beautiful design. In the centre is an expansive atrium from where the length and breadth of Deer Lake can be viewed in great detail.
